FFOC regular season closes out week 4.
October 6th, 2009 | by admin |I have been using my Tuesday blog entry to provide a quick update on who is leading the race to becoming fantasy football’s next millionaire. The only difference with today’s blog is that I could be updating you on more than just the newest leader of the Open Championship. Allow me to present to all of you Jim Tracy of Batavia, Illinois.
Jim used strong weekly performances from Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Steve Smith (NYG), and the San Francisco 49ers D/ST to post a weekly score of 157.18, and vault his The Dreamer XVI team to the top of the Open’s overall standings with more than a 7 point lead on the next closest challenger. However it does not stop here for Jim…
In addition to taking over 1st place in The Open, Jim is also holding onto 5th, 14th, 25th, 26th, and 50th place as well. That is 6 teams in the top 50 overall!!! Very impressive. Just for good measure, Jim also has his teams in first place in both the August and September Brackets. If Jim can keep this up he will be collecting more than one cheque on December 28th in Las Vegas.
As for the Missouri Open, it didn’t take long for a local player to step up and grasp the top spot from last week’s out of state leader from South Carolina. Ryan Zwyer of Barnhart, Missouri managed his Antonia Firecats to a 129.44. Ryan got strong performances from Aaron Rodgers, Mike Sims-Walker, and Eli Manning to post the 3rd highest week 4 score in the Missouri Open state championship, and make the statement that the first ever Missouri Open needs to stay at home.
I will be back tomorrow to post my dreadful FFOC SnapDraft results from this past weekend. It was NOT pretty.

Stan Misthios is the founder of the Fantasy Football Open Championship. He is an avid player himself, but does not compete in The Open due to the obvious conflict of interest – which he sees as a huge PLUS for The Open’s thousands of other competitors because like most fantasy footballers, Stan assumes that he would win the Ivory Jacket every year. A loyal fan of the Silver and Black, Stan’s fantasy team in his home league is called the Just Win Babies, and the team’s logo is a picture of Al Davis shaking hands with the dark lord himself, Darth Vader.
